We're still here

Just still recuperating from almost a month long road trip.  I promise some updates from our travels and three family weddings soon but for now, some pictures that make me smile:

Happy Father's Day

We have a pretty great daddy and just felt like it should be noted on here that we're pretty crazy about him.  I liked looking back at these sweet moments where he became a daddy x 3.

What a weekend

Last weekend we packed a whole lot in to a few days and made it one of our busiest in quite a long time.  It was graduation weekend for the residency program which included a banquet Friday night, golf Saturday and brunch on Sunday.

All of the ladies at brunch.  It was bittersweet to celebrate with the graduating wives.  I can't even talk about how much I'm going to miss them.  

All of that was busy enough by itself but in the midst of it we threw some camping in with some really great friends!  Three families, eight kids under the age of 5, and a dog made for a ton of fun.  :)  It actually was a hugely successful trip in my opinion and Luke can't stop talking about how much fun he had staying up late and sleeping in the tent.

Med Stock Reunion 2012

The summer of the road trip was kicked off for us last weekend when we braved the open road with our three children (one 6 week old) and drove down to Asheville, NC for a reunion with our best buddies from med school.   The kids did awesome in the car (better than me at times) and it was totally worth the 15 hours when we got there and saw everyone.

We rented this unbelievable house called the Greystone Manor on Lake Lure that more than comfortably housed us all.  I think we could have fit 20 more people in there easily. A little side note-Dirty Dancing was filmed on the lake it was on.

The rental included the use of a pontoon boat so we spent a lot of our time out there as you can see by this picture overload:

 We got to celebrate Scott's 30th birthday together with an awesome, from scratch red velvet cake made by Mark Kendall.  

And we even got waited on by our very own, Dr. Estrera :)

We were so blessed with such wonderful friends during med school and we sure miss all of them.  I'm hoping that these reunions become an annual tradition and I'm crossing my fingers that a lot of us will be heading back to Texas in the not too distant future.
