Janitor Luke

I told you in a previous post about Luke's obsession with keys right?? Watch this closely and you'll see what I'm talking about. He's using the keys as if he has to unlock the cabinets before he can open them. How funny?

I can just picture this little boy growing up to be a janitor so he can carry around one of those monster sets of keys. And I would of course be in support of such a career choice if that's what the Lord was calling him to. :) The sky is the limit Luke!

Latest tricks

Just wanted to show you all a few of the things Luke has been picking up on lately. His brain is such a sponge right now and it is so amazing to watch him learn! Some of these "signs" are very subtle so you have to be watching for them.

The first one cracks me up. I think he has seen us answer our phones a few times. :) Whenever he hears "Hello" he puts his hand up to his ear.

Baby is supposed to look more like he's rocking an invisible baby but at least he gets the swaying part.

Val and Craig brought their new puppy, Molly, over this weekend and of course Luke loved playing with her! I think we're going to have to get him a dog when we move. At times he was a bit much for her but here he is trying to teach her to play fetch. He isn't proud of himself at all. :)

Slowing down

Now that all of Michael’s interviews are over life feels about a million times slower, which is a welcomed change.   He's doing a couple of easy rotations over the next couple of months so we are enjoying lots of free time.  We better soak it up before things get crazy in March when we find out where we’re headed.

In the meantime we are enjoying our church that we missed so much.  I’m doing a women’s Bible study on Tuesday mornings where we’re doing a book called Respectable Sins by Jerry Bridges.   Quite a provocative title, but has been so challenging and convicting already.

I am also keeping busy with my latest hobby, figuring out my new gadgets (camera and computer).   To my surprise I have become quite the Mac fan.  My old computer crashed so we decided to make the conversion.   They do the coolest things!

Luke is getting so big these days.  He’s super busy and loves to play outside.  We’ve been running to the park lately which is nice because it breaks up this out of shape momma's run.  I am thinking he’s teething again so the last couple of days/nights he’s had it rough. One thing that keeps him happy is the set of kiddie golf clubs he got from my parents for his birthday.  He is obsessed!

Some words he is saying lately:

Dog: da

Woof: fffff

Golf: gol

Keys: eeys or kkk  (his other obsession)

Ball: ba

Hope you all are doing well.

Time for a haircut??

Not yet Mom!
