Gigi came to see us!

My Grams (Luke's GG) came to see us this week. We enjoyed showing her all that Luke is doing these days and he loved getting smooches from her. He even smelled like her when we came home!!! :) Here are a few pics from the last couple of weeks. He is growing and changing so fast! We have been putting him in the "Jumpster" and the "excersaucer" and he is really digging it. I think he feels like he's a big boy standing in those all by himself.

Sleepy baby found a paci substitute.

Californiaaaaaaaaaaa...

We got back from visiting Matthew (Michael's brother) yesterday evening, and boy am I tired!! We had a great time and the weather was perfect the whole time we were there. But when is California weather not perfect, right? We are now dreaming big about someday living out there two hours from the beach and two hours from the mountains. :)

Luke did great on both flights-we couldn't ask for a better baby. It was just quite a task traveling with all of that baby gear. He did great on all of our excursions too. We went hiking, wine tasting in this cool town called Solvang, the boys surfed (not Luke) :), we shopped in Santa Barbara, and walked a million miles it seemed. Thanks for a fun weekend Matthew! Luke loved meeting you and showing you all of his smiles!

It is always so nice to be back home after a trip. Luke was so glad to be home and back in his crib that he slept from 9:30 to 6:30 without a peep!!! Way to go Lukey!

Anyways, hope everyone is doing well. Here are some pictures from our trip.

P.S. My cousin Nicole and her husband Paul, "The Whites" on the right, had their baby, Jackson Ray White yesterday morning. Happy Birthday Jackson. :)

3 Months and work is going well!

Hi everybody. It's been a little while since I posted. Life just got a little busier. We're adjusting to a new schedule with me back to work Monday, Wednesday, Friday but things are going well. I certainly miss him when I am gone, but it is better than I thought. Thanks for your prayers.

Luke is 3 months old today. I want to do a post about all of the new things he is doing (maybe tonight) but I need to get back to work! :)

Here he is in his chair:

This is his new "beach" hat. We're headed to see Matthew (Michael's brother) in Cali this weekend. :) I will be sure to post pictures of that as soon as we get back.

before i was a mom..

Katrina Dunn snapped this cute one last weekend. Thanks Katrina.

I thought this was really cute and so true:

Before I was a Mom I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom -I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom
