Every Cowboy needs some Wranglers

Before I signed up to come live out in the country for a month I should have asked if there was a Target within a 20 mile radius. This city girl needs a Target. Nope, not here in Fredericksburg. :) I would have come anyways because this month has been wonderful, but in all seriousness, I miss Target.

I failed to think about October being chilly when I was packing for me and Luke, and it HAS been pretty cool the last couple of weeks. So, yesterday we headed in to town to find some warmer clothes for my baby. We ended up at Walmart and found the perfect pants. WRANGLERS for babies.

Check out his cute little cowboy tush.

Carmel Apples = Fall

Sisters

Val and Lisa came to see us this weekend in Fredericksburg and it could not have been a more perfect weekend for the visit. I regretfully didn't get any pictures of the three of us, but i got some of each of them with Luke (of course). We had tons of fun, thanks Auntie Val and Auntie Lis for making the drive to come see us.

9 for 9

I didn't think I would do this every month, and I probably won't, but Luke has been doing so many new things this month I had to document. Not that all of you care, but this IS his baby book. :)

Luke:

1. Has started speaking Luke language this week that includes "mananadababa" and other words like it. He says things like you should totally understand him.
2. Says Dada when he is trying to get Michael's attention or gets close to him.
3. Has taken a couple steps on his own and gets anywhere he wants to by crawling or cruising. He also walks pretty well just holding onto the walker.
4. Loves loves loves table food. Anything that makes him feel like a big boy eating like we do. Favorites include: cheese, chilli, and candy corn.
5. Scrunches his nose and shows his teeth when he's frustrated. (see above)
6. Has monster feet, is wearing 12-18 month shoes already.
7. Claps his hands. He does this after he sits down and is waiting for us say Yay. He also claps if he wants more of anythng because we are working on baby signs and it is sort of close. (see above again)
8. Loves to be held and suck his thumb when he's tired or hungry. I know I need to take advantage of the still cuddly phase while it lasts.
9. Has "outgrown" baby toys completely and only wants remotes, laptops, cell phones, electrical cords, and shoes. Oh and sticky mouse traps.

(We aren't roughing it out here in the country whatsoever, but we do have sticky mouse traps around the house and we HAVE caught four mice on them. That was all in two days and we haven't seen any since, Praise the Lord. City girl here was a little jumpy for those few days.)

Hi Grams

My mom requested pics this morning so this post is Luke giving her a shout. Love ya G.

Homie Luke decided he'd try to take his shirt half way off this morning.

Pumpkins

We took some pictures of our pumpkin in the pumpkins today.

We are pretty sure he took his first "step" today too. He let go of the coffee table and stood for a second and then lunged towards Michael before falling down. Michael said we should document it as the first, but I still think it will be a little bit before he's actually walking. We shall see.

See any resemblance?

It makes me so happy to watch Michael play with Luke and to see their relationship grow. They are already the best of buds. :) Even upside down you can see some crazy similarities, don't ya think?
